SDGs Overview

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is a commitment to ensure that there is no one left behind from adoring the prosperity by 2030. Through 17 goals, SDGs become a prominent framework for all stakeholders to move in tandem in the same direction. It also encourages citizens to not only benefit an SGDs but also contribute to achieving sustainable development.

 

SDGs@InsPeK

The Institute for Poverty Research and Management (InsPeK) is synonymous with the efforts to manage and eradicate poverty in sustainable impact way as confined in the SDGs. To achieve sustainable development, InsPeK focuses on 1) research; 2) empower poor communities through capacity building programmes; 3) provide a collaboration hub among stakeholders, and 4) working together to develop a sustainable impact policy.

To date, InsPeK has conducted more than 40 researches to support stakeholders to manage poverty. Uniquely InsPeK’s research is not only in socioeconomic scope, but also encompasses elements of science and technology. InsPeK has also implemented more than 30 capacity building programmes involving more than 4,000 low-income and poor participants.

Among the InsPeK research projects which are references to various stakeholders related to poverty and SDGs are 1) the Poverty Mapping; 2) the UMK-MoF Social Enterprise Project; and 3) the Blessed Valley.
