Institute for Poverty Research and Management (InsPeK), Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) is a Centre of Excellence (CoE) focusing on research and services related to poverty and well-being.
Recently, InsPeK has been recognized as a Consortium for Research Excellence (KKP) under the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia (MOHE). KKP is a recognition as a Referral Point, a specialist in regional and internationally focused.
InsPeK has five (5) cores (Quintuple Helix), which is 1) research, 2) empowerment, 3) collaboration hubs, 4) database, and 5) policy. InsPeK also focuses on Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) to ensure that InsPeK jointly achieves SDGs at the local and global levels.
Hence, InsPeK provides expertise to work together with stakeholders to manage poverty and propose strategies to improve the community’s well-being in a sustainable impact.

To become a Centre of Excellence in poverty research and management by means of research, knowledge transfer, collaboration and database consolidation, which is realized by adopting partnership approaches between stakeholders to achieve community¿s empowerment to achieve community empowerment through impactful and sustainable entrepreneurship
